This year I decided to expand my advertising presence and attend some local trade shows and events in my local area. I run a small business but I have found that over the years many people still have misconceptions of what it is that my company actually offers them and how it would apply to them. By getting out and talking to mainstream people I feel that my business has a greater chance of increasing clientele. My first step was to decide on the right exhibition stand design for me and what I wanted to promote.
I went to a few trade shows and browsed as a client, looking at what caught my eye, making notes at what drew me in and what bored me or I had to actually force myself to browse their booth. Of course I paid particular interest to those booths that offered similar products and services as my company offers. There were some that were simply brochure stands or banner stands but it became clear that the exhibition stand design would be the key to whether people would want stop and browse and more importantly remember me and my company when they went home.
Next I decided on the trade show I was going to attend. After finding out key facts about the show, such as: the number of people likely to attend, where my booth will be situated and the types of businesses that will be next to me during the show. I arranged for a staff member to attend the show with me who was a pretty outgoing personality and I knew she would be friendly to the people, welcoming and ready to answer questions and hand out fliers and brochures.
The actual exhibition stand design took some thought. I didn’t want it to be too loud or busy nor did I want it to be bland and blend into the background. I found a great company to help me out with my process called Displays Direct through an online web search which may help your company out with your trade show needs and can be found by clicking the following url: http://www.displaysdirect.com.au/ .
Once deciding on the right exhibition stand design for my company I did a mock show at my company, laying everything out, making sure all my giveaways were organized and the novelties that people would take home with them to remember their visit to my booth memorable, fun and definitely wanting to do business with my company in the future.
