As a human resource employee Lily is responsible for answering work related concerns. Janice has had her own questions for a while now and finally managed to navigate her way through the company portal to be able to send a message to the department concerned. Since Lily works during the day and Janice at night, there simply isn’t any time for Janice to talk to Lily personally. So she sent an email through the portal asking Lily on her opinion regarding unemployment benefits if working part time for the company. Speculations have been heard all over the production floor that there is not unemployment benefits phone number you can call if you need help. So before deciding to quit her full time job she has to be sure and asking a human resource personnel seems like a good place to start. Also Lily has been her friend for 5 years now so she is confident that she would be given an honest to goodness opinion. She sent that message two days ago and she has not heard back from her yet. I kept telling her not to worry, she would get her response soon. Lily must be pretty busy at the time and that her email will be answered in the order it was received. Janice has been planning to resign since last Summer and wants to do it very soon. She is thinking of tendering her resignation letter by the end of September and render 30 days so she would be free by November. Lily’s response is one determining factor on how soon she can leave the company. Her parents are already aware of her plan and have given her their blessings.
