One of my colleagues has a son that it currently very poorly in hospital. He only 4 months old and is a tiny baby with an amazing smile. Everyone at work is prying that everything will be fine amnd I have a feeling that it will be as he couldn’t be in a better place and have any more support than he has got.
He is currently in the Birmingham Children’s Hospital which is reknowned for its excellence. I have been informed that as soon as you walk in to the place and experience the atmosphere it can initially be very upsetting, but you soon recover and appreciate the bravery of the effected children. The area whereby parents stay is called Ronald McDonald House and is apparently funded by the restaurant chain. If you have ever visited McDonalds it is the small donation boxes that are within the restaurants and on the drive through tills that actually fund these ventures and this scheme apparently funded the building ata a cost of £8million pounds and also funds the up keep at a cost of £20,000 per week. Personally I think that this a great scheme and I applaud the restaurant chain for these donations.
My colleague mentioned that when he was in the hospital he happened to notice some water coolers from a rival company which we have tried to remove in the past, but we need to wait until the contract expires.
My thoughts are with the little one and I think that with everyones support and positive thinking he will be just fine!
