Have you seen that new film Avatar at the cinema? It is available in both 3D and standard viewing depending on the cinema. It is James Cameron’s first film in five years and is also the most expensive film ever made. When I say that it is James’s first film in five years I mean he has been making it for that period of time. He is planning two sequels depending on how successful this original is and by recent indications it is going to be the highest grossing film of all time. It has beat the previous largest film, which coincidently was also directed by Cameron. The film was Titanic and I don’t want to spoil the ending for those who haven’t seen it but the ship sinks. When I first saw the film I missed the ending as I went to visit one of the drinking fountains in the foyer as I was so thirsty.
My favourite film is either Shawshank Redemption or The Usual Suspects, both have twists at the end and these tend to be the type of films I like as they are very cleverly written. My friend David has a cinema in his house with reclining heated chairs, a popcorn machine and a fridge full of drinks. Whenever one of the latest films that I want to watch is released we always tend to to his house and just relax and take in a film. We once watched 3D film at the house and it was great.
