Restaurants and water coolers

On the 5th of February 2010 I was given the task to research and report Sunday lunch arrangements for Penns hall and Moor hall for either the 6th or 13th of March.  The work was for Bridgett Byrne and she wanted it completed the same day. But before I could start I knew that in order to be able to concentrate I had to go and get a drink from one of the water coolers in the corridoor.The first thing I did was to search on the internet for the phone numbers of the two restaurants; I visited both of the company websites to obtain these phone numbers.I then wrote the phone numbers on two separate pieces of note paper next to the phone. After this I wrote some relevant questions on the paper, so I knew what information I had to get whilst on the phone. Then whilst on the phone I recorded the relevant information. By doing this I believe that the information I collected was more accurate than it could have been if I hadn’t of written the questions out. I also believe that it made me more time efficient as I didn’t have to waste time thinking about what I had to ask and find out.After contacting both restaurants by phone I had to report and present the information to Bridgett in an appropriate format and organise it so that it was easy to analyse. Which I dually did using Microsoft PowerPoint. The information I reported on these documents was done accurately and also completed the same day, which was on time, meeting all of the set deadlines. Before I printed the reports I spell checked and print previewed my work, just in case it contained mistakes, and would not cause unnecessary waste. I also know that Bridgett was delighted with my research and report as she commented on the job sheet.I then saved my work and logged of the computer in order to make sure data was safe and could not be tampered with or stolen.
