Choosing Members For Dog Food Nutrition Forums

I must admit that I was excited when I first discovered the dog food nutrition forum.  It was a place that was filled with people of different opinions and experiences feeding their dogs.  It appeared to be a place of constructive analysis of different feeds and the pros and cons of the various feeding methods.Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that the one active moderator at the time had created a hostile atmosphere to anyone that did not agree with him.  Since, there are now two new moderators with similar opinions and attitudes.  It has turned into a place where everyone feels that everyone else has an ulterior motive to cause conflict and to “stir the pot.”  The moderators, who are representatives of your website and standards, are very harsh and dedicated in conveying their single-minded mantra.  There is no diversity of the thought processes in the people in charge of your forum causing it to be a place that is shoving away new members, from those you have extensive education in the field to those looking for friendly, basic advice.  Due to this scorn, I have chosen to no longer continue posting on your forum and I know I am not the other one that shares these concerns and have chosen to act similarly.By elevating some of your most aggressive members to the position of moderator, it tells those viewing the website that you agree with their behavior.I hope that you take the time to view your forum and witness the conduct of your moderators first hand.  While you cannot choose the opinions and actions of your members, you can select those members who you feel best represent the values of Dog Food Chat.
