I woke up this morning thinking that this my last early wake in order to go to work for over 2 weeks as I am going on holiday at the weekend. This has put me in a good mood for the start of the day and hopefully for the rest of the day.I am going to Larnaca in Cyprus and I can’t wait. In addition the Euro has risen against the pound which again makes it even better. Meaning that I get more for my money! I fly out from Birmingham Airport on Saturday morning at 9:00am to Larnaca Airport and then I have a 1 hour trip the resort. I am going with my family and some good friends one of whom we went on holiday with last year and had a great time.During my last day at work I need to brief my colleagues on potential issues and problems that may occur during my time away although I do have a Blackberry device at hand to answer any emergency emails that may occur. Whether I get reception on a hot Cypriot beach is another issue. I am going to make sure that just before I go out of the door tonight I will take a drink from the drinking fountain in reception. This will be kind of a superstition for the future of the company. At least after this last day I can relax and switch of from a work perspective hopefully for two weeks, but who knows.
