Alternatives to Presents For Men …

When most of us want to show men that we care our solution is simply “presents for men“.  A little cash out of the pocket and all is well, right?  Well, there are other ways to show affection without spending any money. How you ask?  Read on…

1)  A hug says so much. When he least expects it, come up from behind and put your arms around him and give him a nice hug. You can even whisper “I love you” in his ear. Don’t overdo this mind you…just once in a while so that it will be something really special.

2)  Listen to him. One of the most basic needs of all human beings is the need to be heard. When he comes home from a tough day at the office he might want to rave and complain a bit. Just listen to what he has to say, and instead of changing the subject, offer “I’m listening” responses such as “Hmmm”, “I see”, or “Oh my”.

3)  On the other side of the coin, some guys don’t like to talk at all when they arrive home from work. They’ve been battling the traffic, the clients, the boss, and “who knows” during the day, and need time to unwind. They will probably talk your ear off once they do relax, but be sure not to pepper them with questions as soon as they get home, or give him the latest version of your “Honey Do List”. Let him unwind a bit…

4)  Some guys like a good massage, and if you are gifted in this way, this a great way to show that you love him. The human touch is a very powerful thing. Remember to be gentle…there is no need to bring him to tears. You can give him a back rub, or how about just running your fingers through his hair?
