nternal hemorrhoids are veins that are situated in the rectum and when these swell, it causes bleeding from the rectum. These are also called piles. internal hemorrhoids treatment is available. These hemorrhoids are not painful whereas external hemorrhoids are very painful. Internal hemorrhoids start due to increased pressure in the rectal veins.
Hemorrhoids have no definite cause and can happen at any age and to any common human. Youngsters and pregnant women are more prone to such hemorrhoids and this condition is generally seen in some families though this is not a hereditary disease.
Causes for a hemorrhoid are:
7. Picking up heavy stuff or standing for long periods
8. Being heavy or overweight from your body
9. Not having a rich fiber diet
10. Any infection in the rectum
Diagnosis of a hemorrhoid is very important and it can only be done by thorough examination by the doctor. This is done by inserting a thin tube-like instrument into the rectum and with the help of a light on this tube, the internal anus gets visible do that the doctor can see the symptoms.
Different internal hemorrhoids treatment are increased intake of fibrous foods, drinking more liquids to prevent dehydration, taking complete rest and lastly surgery. Hemorrhoids are of two types, internal and external hemorrhoids.
1. External hemorrhoids occur outside the anus. They are painful and they also swell and if a vein ruptures and a clot develops, then the hemorrhoid is called a thrombosed hemorrhoid.
2. Internal hemorrhoids happen inside the rectum, they are not painful and so awareness of a hemorrhoid is very less amongst people. Sometimes such hemorrhoids when left untreated lead to two severe forms of hemorrhoids. They are-Prolapsed and strangulated hemorrhoids.
Internal hemorrhoid treatments are:
1. Try and wear loose clothing and preferably only cotton wear
2. Wiping the anus after every bowel movement with a damp toilet paper
3. Application of ice packs help in reducing the swelling of the anus
4. A warm water bath for about 10 minutes two to three times in a day
5. To apply petroleum jelly or an antiseptic cream to the affected areas
6. Using suppositories when required
7. Having an aspirin tablet
If none of these methods work, the doctor can suggest you some medical pills or methods as an internal hemorrhoids treatment.
There are some home remedies also that may help. These will require you to change some of your daily habits so that your body does not get prone to the disease.
